Meet Katie Bond, co-founder and co-owner/operator of Kure. Katie is a seasoned sales and marketing leader with over 15 years of expertise in healthcare, with a special focus on physical therapy. Her career has been marked by a profound passion for healthcare and a remarkable ability to drive business growth.
Katie’s journey in the healthcare industry began more than 15 years ago at Pivot Physical Therapy, and she quickly emerged as a driving force in the field. Her commitment to excellence and strategic vision became evident as she joined the company when it had just 11 locations. Through her leadership, dedication, and innovative sales and marketing strategies, Katie played a pivotal role in the company’s unprecedented expansion to hundreds of locations spanning multiple states with enhanced service lines. Shortly after an acquisition that resulted in combined companies with 900 locations, across 26 states, and standing as one of the top 10 largest physical therapy enterprises in the United States, Katie left a strong foundational base and exited to start her own business.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Katie is known for her collaborative and motivational approach, fostering a work environment that encourages creativity and achievement. Her keen insights into market trends, coupled with a genuine passion for enhancing patient care, have set her apart as a respected figure in the healthcare community.
As a dynamic sales and marketing leader, Katie continues to shape the future of healthcare, leaving an indelible mark on the industry and inspiring others to reach new heights in their professional endeavors. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, and their three children who keep them very busy, whether it’s vacationing, spending time on the river, or cheering at a sporting event.
Lisa Hyder

Meet Lisa Hyder, co-founder and co-owner/operator of Kure. Lisa’s passion is working side-by-side with practice owners and leadership teams across all healthcare specialties, helping solve business problems that lead to superior patient care and operational and financial success. Lisa’s background in marketing and sales led her to a unique niche in healthcare talent acquisition, employee engagement, and human resources operations.
Lisa began her journey in healthcare as an integral founding member of an outpatient physical therapy practice. Her strategic leadership roles in marketing, business development, operations, HR, and recruiting resulted in two private equity sales and an unprecedented expansion from one clinic to hundreds of locations across multiple states. Lisa’s notable achievements include creating and scaling talent acquisition and human resources departments from scratch to support and enable exponential growth; leading and mentoring high-performing healthcare recruiting teams; and using her keen eye and ear for understanding the best that a practice has to offer to create compelling employer brands that attract and retain talent in the challenging healthcare space where need outpaces available candidates.
Known for her dynamic leadership, exceptional work ethic, and in-depth industry knowledge, Lisa is a true professional with a vast network at her disposal for leverage, collaboration, and direction. Prior to founding Kure, Lisa held roles as Head of Talent Acquisition for Hopscotch Primary Care, a healthcare startup serving rural communities; Vice President of Talent Acquisition for Pivot Health Solutions, a national provider of physical therapy, athletic training, and occupational medicine services; and Chief Development Officer of Pivot Physical Therapy, where she played a key role in the company’s brand design and launch as well as the opening of more than 40 clinics.
Lisa spent her early career in the public broadcasting industry as Director of Research at KPBS TV and Radio in San Diego and as a research and fundraising consultant to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and to PBS and NPR member stations. Lisa also held positions in the public relations and special events departments of the Tampa Bay Lighting, the National Hockey League, and the San Diego Gulls of the International Hockey League.
Lisa holds a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Rhetoric from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton. She currently sits on the Advisory Board of SUNY-Binghamton’s Physical Therapy Department. When she’s not at her desk, she’s likely on a run with her husband, practicing hot yoga, or helping her sons and their friends with their college applications and job hunts!
